Cultivation

Pittosporum Little Kiwi can be used as a formal plant where effect is required but low maintenance is also important. Plant in formal lines or random placement at 1 metre spacings. Little Kiwi can be pruned to size and shape as required, and a good maintained size would be 60cm height and width. A garden using P. Little Kiwi can be mulched with bark or pebbles to also reduce maintenance. Even better consider using bark dyed black to create a great effect (available at some landscape supply merchants).

Pittosporum Little Kiwi can also be used as a low border plant as an alternative to Buxus sp, Ilex hillerii, Escallonia Red Dream, or Euonymous buxifolia.

As a border, plant at 50cm apart minimum.
